Sous Chef – Up to £45,000 – Premium Gastropub – Tonbridge – Sous Chef

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join a well-established premium gastropub in Tonbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented kitchen team in a busy, quality-led environment where fresh, seasonal food is at the heart of the operation.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the team through service, maintaining consistently high standards and helping develop menus using great British produce.

Ideal Experience & Passion – Sous Chef

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
• Background within quality restaurants, gastropubs or premium casual dining
• A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal British food
• Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of GP, food costs, stock control, labour management and minimising waste
• Confident leading and motivating a kitchen team during busy services
• Strong understanding of kitchen organisation and food safety
• Comfortable supporting the Head Chef with ordering, prep, rotas and day-to-day kitchen management
• A hands-on chef who enjoys being part of service and developing junior members of the team
• Consistent, organised and passionate about delivering excellent food
