General Manager – Up to £70,000 + Bonus – High-End Gastro Pub & Restaurant – East London

This operator of a highly regarded, award-winning gastro pub and restaurant is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead their operation in East London.

With a strong focus on premium, seasonal produce, elevated pub dining and refined yet relaxed service, this venue combines the atmosphere of a great neighbourhood pub with the standards of a high-end restaurant. We are looking for a commercially astute, hands-on General Manager who can balance guest experience with full financial accountability.

The Role – General Manager

• Full responsibility for the overall gastro pub and restaurant operation
• Full financial accountability, including P&L, labour, payroll and cost control
• Lead, develop and inspire FOH, bar and management teams
• Maintain exceptional service standards across food, drink and guest experience
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, partners and the local community
• Work closely with ownership to drive performance and long-term growth

Ideal Experience & Background – General Manager

• Proven General Manager experience within high-end gastro pubs or premium restaurants
• Strong understanding of quality-led food, drink and service operations
• Experience running high-volume, service-focused venues
• Confident managing financial performance, compliance and operational controls
• A natural leader with a people-first approach and strong attention to detail
