Deputy General Manager – Up to £45K – Large Premium Pub & Hotel – Kent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy General Manager to join the leadership team of a large, high-volume premium pub and hospitality venue in Kent.

This is a large operation with a strong food and drink offering and a 40-bedroom hotel opening in early 2027.

We’re looking for a strong, hands-on Deputy General Manager who can work closely with the General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation, develop the team and consistently deliver exceptional standards across the venue.

Ideal Experience & Passion – Deputy General Manager

• Proven experience as a Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager or senior operational manager within a large, high-volume pub, restaurant or hotel
• Strong background in premium, quality-led hospitality
• Experience managing high-volume operations and large teams
• New opening or pre-opening experience would be an advantage
• Strong commercial understanding with experience managing labour, budgets and operational performance
• Passionate about delivering exceptional food, drink and guest experiences
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and retain high-performing teams
• Confident implementing and maintaining systems, processes and operational standards
• Able to support the General Manager across all aspects of a complex, multi-faceted operation
• Comfortable taking full responsibility for the venue in the General Manager’s absence
• A hands-on, energetic leader who thrives in a busy hospitality environment
